The tuners from Novitec Rosso have developed a special tuning package for the new Ferrari California. The Maranello model has received an aerodynamic body kit, a suspension package, some extra horse power and a set of 21”or 22”inch rims. The V8 4.3 litre engine of the California develops 550 bhp in the first stage of upgrades offered by the Novitec Rosso team. All the power increase is obtained through tweaks brought to the ECU which includes an increase in engine rpm, that is now 8.300 rpm.

The performances of the modified Ferrari California haven’t yet been revealed, but the maximum engine torque has increased to 518 Nm at 5.300 rpm. The tuning package also includes an exhaust system made from stainless steel with metal catalysts and a flap actuator operated from the Manettino switch on the steering wheel. The by-pass system of the California’s exhaust offers the option for owners to reveal the sound of the 550 horses during a track day at high speeds or to keep it on “silent” when traveling through a town.

The difusor that is integrated in the rear bumper has been modified and the hood of the trunk has received a slick spoiler. The price tag for this upgrades hasn’t been revealed yet and the Novitec Rosso team is working on more powerful versions that will offer even more horse power for the Ferrari California. The ground clearance of this model has been reduced by 35 mm, and the front axle has an option that it allows it to be raised by 40 mm to clear speed humps with ease.
