The German tuner RUF, the creators of the first electric Porsche, have developed another package for the Porsche 997 called RT 12 S. This new model is an improved version of the RUF RT 12, which was first presented to the public 5 years ago in Essen. The twin-turbo 6 cylinder straight engine of the Porsche 997 produces 685 bhp and 880 Nm of torque.

Along with the engine tweaking, the RUF designers have created some new upgrades for the bodywork. Compared to the previous RUF RT 12, the car has a new carbon fibre spoiler and the rear fenders were slightly inflated. The rear fenders now have air intakes which help with the cooling of the supercharged powerplant. The mirrors were "snatched" of the RUF CTR 3 on which were mounted a set of LED signal lights.

The front bumper has also got a set of LED position lights.

The braking system has been equipped with composite ceramic brake discs and the RUF RT 12 S has also received a set of 19 inch alloys. RUF's customers can also opt for a hydraulic suspension system which can lower or rise the car with up to 50 mm just by pressing a button. The new RUF RT 12 S is available with rear and four wheel drive with a price tag that starts at 255.900 euro + VAT.
