Brabus has presented the modified versions for the Mercedes-Benz CL500 and S500 4 matic. These models normally use a gasoline V8 engine which develops 435 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. For those who aren't happy with these figures, Brabus has developed two performance kits.

The first performance kit is called Brabus B50 – 490 and modifies the power of the engine through ECU tweaks. The end result is a 490 bhp and 780 Nm of torque Mercedes-Benz. The second one is called Brabus B50 – 520 and pushes the power of the engine to an amazing 520 bhp and 820 Nm of torque. With there upgrades, the top speed of the car is 185 mph (or 300 km/h) with the electronic speed limiter disabled. Both performance packages include special exhaust systems created by Brabus and a lowered ground clearance by 25 mm.

The technical upgrades are completed by aesthetic modifications. The front and rear spoilers are different while the interior can be customized according to the needs of the owner. Also, there is a wide range of rims available, going from 19 inches to 22 inches in diameter.

It’s no secret that modified cars are difficult to insure. Whether you’ve completely redone the bodywork, changed the headlights or even applied new paintwork, you might get some quotes where the price has shot up nearly twofold. However, by going to price comparison sites and getting cheap car insurance for your modified car is achievable.
