Audi A4 by Rieger Tuning

On the one to fifteen scale of upscale midsize cars, the Audi A4 ranks an 8. The handling and performance have been called “top-notch” by auto reviews in 2004. The quality of the materials is outstanding, ranking the A4 with some of the best built cars in its class. The cabin is high class and refined, making for a perfectly comfortable ride, and making the A4 a very attractive prospect indeed. As far as midsize sedans go, the A4 is a solidly built car that will handle great and last a long time. While not in the top five of any category, the A4 is still a pretty strong vehicle for those who need a sedan of its size.

From its inception in 2005 it has remained for the most part unchanged now in 2008. It has been put through several redesigns, but not much has changed over the years. Test drives put the A4 at a high desirability until many competing cars have been through their own redesigns. At this point the A4 dropped in the ranks a bit, while still being a good car. The 2008 model will have a special edition later this year. Near the end of 2008, the new 2009 variant will be introduced. The Audi A4 Cabriolet is a two door convertible and is also available on the market already.

It would not take long for many tuners to jump on the chance that the A4 presents. As of right now Rieger Tuning is showing off its A4 3.0 TDI as they are calling it. Under Rieger Tuneing, the A4 has gone through many changes both in the appearance and the performance of the vehicle. The German company wished to bring some of its country’s unique style to the table with its modifications and they have done just that. The A4 is already an award winning sedan and so Rieger had good stock to work with.

Rieger Tuning revealed its Audi body kit at the Tuning World Bondsee in 2008. Under Reiger Tuning the car has seen both a style and mechanical improvement. The kit includes a front spoiler, more stylish side skirts and a redesigned rear bumper with an air diffuser and a sport exhaust system. The exhaust system sports four pipes designed to increase performance. Also included are custom twenty inch alloy wheels which can be one of several different designs. Beyond the cosmetic changes, the three liter V6 turbo diesel engine has undergone some ECU tweaking and now puts out two hundred and ninety seven horsepower. The tuning kit allows for the A4 to take on a more sports car like appearance and feel. The brakes have also received an upgrade in order to better handle the new horsepower. Over all the Reiger Tuning crew have turned out a pretty solid modification to an already good vehicle.
