I can't claim to be able to drift as the only times I have ever been sideways was during power slides but for you drfiters out there what are the secrets?  I once pulled off a nice power slide in the rain but it was more by the fact that I was about to go off the road into a river Shocked

Drifting is quite dangerous if you do it outside the circuit. Tryed it once and I almost lost control of the car.

In the winter with the snow I have had some very scary powerslides.  Also back in the woods I have been sliding a few time.

So are any of you able to do controlled drifts, or are most of the drifts that you have just by chance, or it happens when you really don't want it to(i.e. when you lose control of your vehicle)

Honestly, I am a driver for less than an year, so more or less I am still an amateur and I am afraid to try. Moreover, in Bulgaria the roads are in very bad conditions. Anyway, probably in the near future I will try.

We'll I'm only 16 and don't have my license yet and I've never been with someone who could drift. Don't think you could do it anywhere around here, small streets.
